Our team

Bridget Nash, MA LPC

My name is Bridget Nash, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I graduated in 2019 with a Masters of Arts in Counseling and have had the privilege of starting my own private practice in West Michigan. I primarily work with teens and adults, many of whom are struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, difficult life transitions, and trauma. I feel strongly that this age group is facing a unique set of challenges unlike those we’ve seen in previous generations. In the age of the internet, there is so much pressure to always be “on” and perform in a way that wins the approval of others. We often find ourselves trying to fit a mold that was never designed for us, with no idea of who we really are.

I am also excited to start working with couples headed toward the alter, or who have encountered some roadblocks after their “I do’s.” I’m passionate about helping people really understand themselves, their partner, and how they can build a close bond that stands the test of time.

I’m a counselor, but I’m also a real person. I have training in theories and techniques including Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Mindfulness, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy, as well as real-world experience in being human. I struggled alone with my own mental health until I was ready to share my story with someone else. Putting words to the pain can be terrifying, but also incredibly freeing!

My goal is to be the kind of counselor I wish I had in my teens and young adulthood. I want to encourage those who are struggling that it’s normal—you are not broken and definitely not alone. I want to educate people on how they can overcome their emotional obstacles with trauma-informed techniques, practical tools, and self-discovery. Healing takes time, and I’m honored to walk that road with you.

Adam Nash, MA LPC

Hello, my name is Adam Nash, MA LPC.  I am passionate about seeing people live happier and healthier lives. This passion led me to graduating from Spring Arbor University in 2016 with a Masters in Counseling.  I desire to help people overcome the struggles in their lives and develop healthier relationships. I work with people from teens to adults because I believe that everyone needs a person to come alongside them and support them in moving through the hard times of life.

I am trained in a lot of therapy techniques (including CBT, DBT, Mindfulness, Play Therapy, and Parts work) and use those many skills to help people in their journey to better mental health.  Besides being a therapist I love spending my time playing hockey, going on hikes and spending my time researching and studying whatever I find interesting.

My goal as a therapist is to help lead people towards a happier and healthier life that allows them to reach their full potential. I desire to make therapy something for everyone and allow you to become the healthiest version of yourself.

Meghan Binkowski, MA LMSW

Hi there!

Life is full of beautiful and challenging moments. I believe that there are times we all need a safe and welcoming space to talk through these moments. Whether you’re dealing with depression, anxiety, life transitions, grief/loss, relationship challenges, or just find yourself needing an unbiased encouraging voice in your life; I would love to work alongside you.

I earned my Masters of Social Work degree from GVSU. My experience thus far has been in medical case management and emergency room crisis work. I work from a person-centered approach as I believe each of us is the expert of our own lives. I will use skills such as cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and other person centered approaches to guide treatment.

As your therapist, my goal is to work alongside you to develop healthy strategies to overcome life’s obstacles. My mission is to create a safe, open, and welcoming space to cultivate growth and healing. I’m happy you’re here.

Zoe Gates, LMSW, CCTP

Hi! My name is Zoe Gates. I’m a Licensed Master Social Worker and a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. I am also a children’s yoga instructor. I graduated with my MSW from the University of Illinois Chicago in 2008, and began working in foster care. I remained with foster care for most of my career, working as a case manager, supervisor, and a foster care therapist. My husband and I live in Grand Rapids and have two amazing children, ages 7 and 4. I've had the privilege of being home with them since 2016. During that time, I became certified as a children’s yoga instructor and have loved being able to tie in my clinical knowledge with yoga and mindfulness techniques, to provide a more holistic approach to helping kiddos.

I have been working with children for as long as I can remember. What I love most about it is the incredible opportunity and privilege it is to walk along side them as they discover who they are and learn to thrive. Life is not always easy for children, but I am passionate about giving them the tools and skills they need to handle life’s challenges and feel good in their own skin. Like most adults, there were parts of my own childhood that were amazing and moments that were very difficult. My own life experience as a clinician, a parent, and a human being allows me to offer genuine compassion and empathy to those I work with.

As a therapist, I strive to help children find connections - connections within themselves, with others, and with the world around them. Over the past few years especially, I feel that connections in human kind have been lost, but are so vital to restore. I have an eclectic therapy style that includes aspects of play therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness techniques, and more, providing a holistic approach to helping children find their way through life with confidence and joy.
